I’m Mitch Polley - a furniture designer and maker based in South West London.

I design and make contemporary furniture that’s built to last, using carefully selected hardwoods. Each piece is made with care, with an emphasis on clean lines, balanced proportions, and the natural beauty of the wood.

Before this, I spent 17 years working in the film industry as a Prop Maker and Carpenter. I’ve always loved making things, but it was during that time that I discovered a real passion for woodworking - particularly working with solid hardwoods.

Over the years, I built a huge variety of things for film sets, but many were made from unsustainable materials and were only ever meant to last a few minutes on screen. Eventually, I realised I wanted to create work that had lasting purpose - pieces that would become a meaningful part of people’s homes and lives

Sustainability is important to me. Wood is one of the most renewable and beautiful materials we have and when used well, it has the potential to last for generations.
